Restaurant Sahib
Restaurant Sahib |
I was craving for Indian food, so decided to go to Restaurant Sahib with a friend. It was my first time going there, so wasn't too sure what to expect.
Entrance |
Their menu is available online. They got a variety of dishes (biryani, tandoori sizzlers, vegetarian, seafood, etc.). I wish they had shahi paneer in there though.
*Partial Halal Menu: I asked the waiter and he said that everything was halal except the chicken. I later read on the menu that beef and lamb are halal.

This is what we ordered:
Starter:
- Chaat Papri
Main Dish
- Malai Kofta
- Lamb Seekh Kebab (rice or naan included)
Side:
- Naan
Drinks:
- Orange Juice
- Shirley Temple
They start by serving papadum with red chutney, green chutney and carrot pickle (no charge).

Then they brought our starter: Chaat Papri. I really liked it! It wasn't spicy at all (some restaurants make it spicy despite requesting them not to). I wish the tomatoes were cut a little smaller (yes I'm very particular about my food lol). However, it was still very good!

As for main dish, I got Malai Kofta with naan. Malai Kofta was good. I really liked it!

My friend liked the lamb seekh kebab. I personally don't like lamb. I did try it out and it tasted good (once again not spicy but still had a good taste to it). I'm not a fan of lamb but I'm sure I would have liked the beef one!

Overall, the food and service were good. We couldn't finish our main meals, so we did takeout. I would suggest people to share the dishes. The prices are reasonable. We paid about $50 (meal, drinks, taxes and tips).
